That is right, we found out yesterday that Gabriel's paperwork for his emigration permit was submitted last week! What does that mean? Well it means that after no movement this whole year, Gabriel is in the first group to finally go to the next step. The Korean government will now review all his paperwork to make sure he can have a permit to leave the country! This will take 6-8 weeks, then his paperwork will be submitted to the family court to be reviewed. If they approve of everything they will give us a court date! We will then need to go to Korea for about 4 weeks to finish up all the paperwork. Of course since this is still a new process, things are subject to change!! That is always the case with adoption! You can count on change! So while this new movement in Gabriel's paperwork means we still have many months of waiting ahead of us, we are just so grateful to have some movement! We also found out that Gabriel's paperwork was submitted before others who were "ahead of" us in line. Meaning, before they used to go in order of acceptance, but for some reason they took our paperwork in front of the other families. Of course we know that this is a miracle, and are so grateful to the Lord for this miracle! We thank Him for this, and thank you for all your prayers. We have felt them, and it has given us the strength we have needed during this very long and trying process! We do however, feel bad for all the families who are still waiting, and hope they will be submitted soon.
So we are celebrating small miracles and tender mercies at this house!
Here is to hoping that things continue to move forward at a quick pace, so we can kiss this face soon!
